How to take a negative and turn it into a positive

So yeah, easy subject title, very easy concept, right? Take a situation that is a negative and turn it into a learning opportunity. I would cringe any time that my mom would say, “Teaching moment!” At the end of the day, as much as I hate to say it (not actually, I love you mom), she had a point.

So where is this coming from? I have four different avenues that lead to this conclusion and this blog post.

  1. I haven’t posted in a while. Yup, I could use plenty of excuses but when it really comes down to it, I wasn’t motivated to write about anything recently and I had a lot of other things on my mind. I’m wrapping up my senior year at Northeastern, I’m working, I’m trying to stay connected with friends and family and hopefully still getting enough sleep a night in order to function. That being said, I should be more productive, and take this as an opportunity to learn more about those around me, the world around me, and to push to come out of this stronger.
  2. Our President, and his conduct. I’m currently listening to one of his press conferences about COVID-19, and in 10 minutes hes brought up the church, money spent in the Middle East, fired off answers to questions that its pretty clear that he does not know the answer to, fake media, making fun of the media, making declarative statements.
